Believe it, 1:45 a.m. was brutal the next day at work and there was no “they won!” elation and “on to game 7!” anticipation to offset the bleariness. I faded badly by 3 p.m. and was taking Mountain Dew intravenously the last hour of the day and still nodding at my desk. Worse yet, I had a worship team meeting at the church after I got home, so no power nap. And now, the long dreary sports-less months till Mizzou football starts up again in September. Who? The Giants? Come on now; be serious.
